After you upgrade your computer to Windows 10, if your Acer Display / Monitor Drivers are not working, you can fix the problem by updating the drivers. It is possible that your Display / Monitor driver is not compatible with the newer version of Windows.
Current monitor drivers will not install in Windows 10. This, and what I've read in other posts here, tells me Acer is behind the curve and needs to get their act together. Lovely display, BTW, but I suspect It might well look even better with dedicated, up to date drivers. C'mon Acer, get with the program. hey all,
Usually with monitors I don't even bother with drivers, but I just bought a new 1440p Acer monitor and go figured, they have a driver on the website. I download the .zip file and extract it. I then go into Device Manager and under monitors where it says Generic PnP Monitor, i click properties and then click Update Driver. I manually point to the folder where the .inf file is located, but after I click next it tells me the best driver for my device is already installed (The Generic PnP driver from 2006), even though this newer Acer driver is from 2014. Any idea why this is happening, or how I can tell it to shut up and accept my driver? Never had this happen before. Thanks for any help in advance!
Just so you all know, the monitor is an Acer K272HUL 27' 1440p. I can give you the rest of my hardware specs if necessary, but I figured it wouldn't be in this case.
